🚨 RECYCLING PROGRAM UPDATE 🚨
Unfortunately, the recycling collection site behind the Element Hotel will be permanently closed effective Wednesday, June 17. The collection site behind the Cornville Mercantile store will also be closed effective Wednesday, June 17.

Brief Recent History of Recycling in VOC:
- Recycling behind Clarks Market (Formerly Weber’s/ IGA) closed by Sedona Recycles May 2, 2022
- Big Park Council (BPC) Survey immediately following the closure documented strong VOC Community support and desire for a recycling facility.
- Yavapai County District 3 Supervisor Donna Michaels lead negotiations to reopen a recycling facility in VOC, resulting in the location behind the Element Hotel opened by Squeaky Clean Junk Removal – Opening Celebration July 28, 2023.
- Squeaky Clean truck involved in accident May 14, 2026 resulting in temporary closure of the location in VOC; then reopened using a Waste Management dumpster in early June.
- Recycling in VOC & Cornville formally permanently closed June 17, 2026
- Next Steps: BPC is getting in touch with current Yavapai County District 3 Supervisor Nikki Check to review the situation.
