9.Announcements
  1. There was discussion regarding a RRN article regarding wildfire danger that stated that State Farm provides a 5% discount if a property meets certain property criteria for wildfire safety.  Property owners should check with their insurance companies if they believe their property meets criteria for discounts.  Discussion continued regarding the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety (IBHS) certification that individual homeowners can obtain (nfpa.orgwildfire prepared.org).  It was mentioned that all homeowners should create a video record of their home and possessions to document losses for insurance purposes in the case of a fire.  Lisa Holly (Yavapai County Firewise Board Member) mentioned that DFFM and Title III grants are not available to Yavapai County this year, and that they are exploring other options such as the recent AIM grant their community was awarded that provides up to 3K for a chipper rental/operator available to any Firewise community in Yavapai County.  She will keep the council posted on any other grants they may find and are awarded.
  2. The BPC website has a link to the Yavapai County CitizenServe portal for reporting code infractions.

The business meeting was adjourned at 9:32am.
