Stage 1 Fire Restrictions 

Stage 1 Fire Restrictions are in effect for the Coconino National Forest.  This includes igniting, building, maintaining or using a fire outside of a fire structure that is provided by the Forest Service within a designated area, and smoking outside of an enclosed vehicle or building.  Click HERE for details.

POTENTIAL LEASE – BIG PARK SCHOOL CAMPUS

Discussion of Letter of Intent to lease is currently scheduled to be discussed at the SOCUSD Board Meeting July 11th 4pm, Sedona Performing Arts Center
Be sure to check final SOCUSD Agenda: Final SOCUSD agendas are posted not less than 24 hours prior to each Board Meeting.  Board meeting agendas and the complete board packet are available at www.sedonak12.org and are posted in the official posting location on the front doors of Sedona Red Rock High School at 995 Upper Red Rock Loop Road, Sedona, AZ 86336.
Information about the Potential LeaseOn June 22nd, the Big Park Council hosted a special meeting to discuss the proposed lease of the Big Park School campus to Yavapai County.  District 3 Supervisor Donna Michaels, Sedona Oak Creek Unified School District (SOCUSC) Board President Randy Hawley and County Field Library Director Corey Christians were present to discuss their evolving plans and answer questions.  Highlights of the meeting were sent out 6/25 to BPC Newsletter subscribers.  A recording of that meeting is available on the BPC Google Drive (Click HERE to view or download the video).  The recording runs about 1 3/4 hrs. and is 509MB.

BPRCC Zoom Meeting Guest Etiquette
  1. Identify yourself with first and last name when you set up your zoom profile.
  2. Arrive at least 10-20 minutes early.  Guests will be checked against our RSVP list and admitted by the co-host.
  3. We will lock the meeting at 9:15—no late entrance to avoid distraction.
  4. Audio Settings/Options
  5. Zoom will give you audio options – choose computer audio. Other audio options can generate disruptive feedback.
  6. While in the waiting room, test your audio to make sure it is working.
  7. When admitted to the meeting, your audio will be automatically muted.  When called on to speak, you will need to Unmute your audio first.
  8. Make sure you are familiar with the Raise Hand command on the toolbar.  This is the only means that the Chair and presenters can see that you wish to speak. and helps to maintain an orderly and efficient meeting.
