Yavapai County Digital Literacy Summit – MONDAY – JUNE 24 – 10:00AM –

The Verde Valley Regional Economic Organization (VVREO) is advocating for high-speed internet via fiber in the Verde Valley.   To this end, they are pleased to announce that Yavapai County’s first ever Digital Literacy Summit on Monday June 24th @ 10:00 AM.  It will be held on the Yavapai College Prescott Campus.  Details below:

ADOT approves 5-year Construction Plan Update

BPC Representative Dave Norton attended the Arizona State Transportation Board meeting June 21 in Flagstaff and presented the BPC Resolution in person.  He also provided a copy of it and the supporting memoranda electronically and the Board Chair acknowledged that they had received it.  Dave reports that the ADOT Board members were attentive and making notes.   The ADOT Director was also present and when they took a break, he was exiting the building and she thanked him for the presentation.

The following is what was approved at the ADOT State Transportation Board meeting . . .  NOTHING for here yet (e.g. I-17 Exit 298), as nothing was on their agenda to approve.

The final 2025-2029 Five-Year Transportation Facilities Construction Program is available for review at azdot.gov/FiveYearProgram.

Stage 2 FIRE RESTRICTIONS are NOW in EFFECT

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz., June 18, 2024 — The Coconino National Forest will implement Stage 2 fire and smoking restrictions beginning 8 a.m. Friday, June 21 as the threat of unwanted wildfires increases due to hot, dry and windy weather conditions.
