Dear Residents of the Big Park/VOC Community,
As you know and have probably experienced, our community suffers from slow and often unreliable internet connectivity. This was well documented by the Sedona Community Broadband Initiative survey in which you may have participated last January. The survey demonstrated that none of the upload and download speeds were as robust as publicized by the local internet service providers.
You may also know that the United States Congress authorized a multibillion-dollar initiative to bring high speed broadband to all communities, especially those that are currently underserved. States and communities nationwide are now competing for those funds. That effort in Arizona is being led by the Arizona Commerce Authority and in the Verde Valley by the Verde Valley Regional Economic Organization (VVREO). The attached Digital Equity Survey is the tool by which we can demonstrate to the federal government our area’s need for these funds.
Please complete the attached anonymous survey as soon as possible to demonstrate how we are a broadband underserved community. Survey results will go directly to VVREO. Thank you.
Community Member Survey Take this survey if you are representing yourself and will provide feedback reflecting your own personal experience connecting to the internet at home or by using community resources like libraries. TAKE SURVEY |
