The Recycling Launch Party, July 28th at Vista Village was a wonderful celebration of the return of recycling to the Village filled with music, good friends, community partners and tasty treats.

In May of 2022 the Big Park Council surveyed our local community on the importance of recycling.  695 individuals responded, 686 of whom are local residents.  615 respondents felt that local recycling was very important and an addition 66 felt it was somewhat important.  This overwhelming response encouraged Supervisor Michaels to continue her quest to return recycling to the VOC.  A big thank-you to all who responded to the survey.  Your voice was heard!  We’d also like to thank the following individuals and local businesses for contributing to its success.Mary Aronson – Vista Village, Donna Michaels – Yavapai County Supervisor, District 3 and Travis Mikkelson – Squeaky Clean Services for collaborating to enable recycling to return. Speakers:Dr. Donna Michaels – Yavapai County SupervisorTravis Mikkelson – Squeaky Clean ServicesDr. Marshall Whitmire – Keep Sedona Beautiful
