Yavapai County P&Z Voted to APPROVE
Outdoor Lighting Standards ZOA section 301-and 603. Zoning Ordinance Proposed Revisions
The Yavapai County P&Z Commission on May 22nd, voted to approve the draft revision of the Outdoor Lighting ordinance. The new lighting limit on outdoor lighting will be 2,700 Kelvin – more restricted than in the draft and a welcome improvement. One Commissioner did not vote in favor because he felt that the Commission did not go far enough in regulating or banning outdoor string lighting. Big Park Water Company and its subsidiary Little Park Water Company have requested permission to consolidate and also to increase their rates. There will be a public hearing by the Arizona Corporation Commission October 27, 2025, at 10am at the Commission’s offices 1200 West Washington Street, Phoenix, AZ.
