Contributions to the APS Transmission Line Fund

At the August 10 meeting of the BPC, the Sedona Village Partnership offered to contribute $5000 of matching funds to augment funds raised by the community to help us reach our $10,000 goal for a formal legal assessment to determine the likelihood of successful litigation to halt construction of the powerline.  This research will be conducted by Earthrise Law Center at the Lewis and Clark School of Law.  If litigation is deemed appropriate and eventually required, Earthrise would provide low-cost representation to BPC.

As you consider making a donation for this cause, please read the attached OpEd from District 3 Supervisor Donna Michaels Regarding APS Transmission Line about the proposed APS project in the June 5, 2022 edition of the Verde Valley Independent and Camp Verde Bugle.

BPC is asking all interested organizations and individuals who desire to protect our village from wildfire, to protect the Kel Fox Trail, and to preserve the beautiful views from the Red Rock Scenic Byway to contribute to this important cause.  Contributions to this fund may be made by check to Big Park Council, PO Box 21021, Sedona, AZ  86341 or via PayPal, Zelle or Venmo by entering our username  BuryVOCPowerline@gmail.com or @buryvocpowerline.*

Thank you so much for your contribution to this effort.
